Recovering Ourselves: A 12-Step Approach to Liberation blends timeless wisdom,  neuroscience, somatic healing, rituals, and relational organizing into a shared practice of detox and recovery. Led by Nikki Myers, the founder of Yoga for 12-Step Recovery, and Kerri Kelly, author of "American Detox," this training offers a profound and embodied exploration of how dominant culture—rooted in separation, supremacy, and scarcity—has shaped us, and what it will take to heal.

Recovering Ourselves is an invitation to recover the parts of us that has been lost to the legacy of separation so that we can ALL be free.

True healing and liberation calls us to unpack and unlearn all that we’ve accumulated along the way: limiting beliefs, habitual patterns, attachments and addictions – so that we can break down the barriers and breakthrough to freedom.

Using the wisdom and guidance of the 12 steps, we will journey through an inside out process of healing to build capacity and resilience, cultivate skills for application and action and embrace a readiness and responsiveness to the path of recovery and wholeness. This program is f or EVERYONE - it's not necessary to have any 12-step knowledge or practice in advance of this program. You simply need to show with a curiosity and willingness to confront whatever is in the way of your wholeness and full expression.

Join us for a healing journey that is grounded in the understanding that our liberation and wellbeing are bound.

OUR JOURNEY

Our journey will be held by the land originally stewarded by the Schaghticoke people that is now home to The Watershed Center. Our four day journey will be inspired by movement, resourced in nature, nourished by locally sourced cuisine and fueld by community.  Together we will work with movement, meditation, reflection and action, to explore how we’ve been shaped by dominant culture and systems and what is in the way of our healing so that we can become not just ready but responsive to the uncertain and unfolding path ahead.
